Who we are 

 

 

 

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe in the Committee of the Regions is a political group bringing together politicians from local and regional authorities from around the EU.

The President of the ALDE Group is Mrs. Flo CLUCAS, Deputy Leader for Economic Development and Europe, Liverpool City Council.

 

 

The ALDE Group in the Committee of the Regions is made up of nearly 100 politicians from local and regional authorities around Europe. The majority belong to parties which are members of the European liberal party ELDR, or the European democrat party EDP, and some are independents.  The members of ALDE are supported by a Secretariat which is based in Brussels. Presidency

The ALDE Group has one President and three Vice-Presidents:

  • THIRD VICE-PRESIDENT: Mr Gianmario SPACCA (IT), President of the Marche Region 

 

ALDE Bureau

The Bureau is made up of the Presidency, former Group Presidents still members of the CoR, plus four elected members and members holding an office in the CoR:

Coordinators

The Committee of the Regions organises its work within six commissions which specialise in different policy areas and prepare the work for the plenary. Each political group nominates coordinators for each commission who take on a leading role in representing the group and organising its participation within that commission.
