The ALDE group is looking for a trainee to assist the ALDE secretariat with the preparation of CoR commission meetings and plenary sessions.
The tasks of the ALDE trainees involve:
o drafting briefings;
o carrying out research;
o attending commission meetings and drafting reports;
o identifying and summarising documents from the CoR, European Commission, European Parliament and other documents relevant to these meetings;
o attending and reporting back from committee meetings in the European Parliament and various seminars of interest to the CoR commissions.
In addition to this, more general assistance to all team members will be required.
If you have finished your University degree or are still a University student (3rd, 4th or 5th year student) and want to work for a few months for Liberal and Democrat ideas, then this is the traineeship for you. Good knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of French is an asset. The traineeship lasts for 4 months. This period can be extended by another two months under exceptional circumstances. The traineeship is not remunerated.
The Committee of the Regions was set up by the Treaty on European Union in 1993 with the aim of involving regional and local bodies - regions, cities and municipalities - in shaping EU policies.
