During the debate on Cybercrime and cybersecurity, Cllr Kieran McCarthy, CoR rapporteur on European Data economy, pointed out that the EU needs to do a lot more to improve prevention and detection concerning the cyber incidents. Systemic and coordinated interventions as well as advanced security training are needed to respond to these attacks - he said.
