At its meeting in Riga, the COTER commission discussed with the European Commission about areas of cooperation.

When it comes to the urban agenda the EA group members declared:" We see there is a bias towards urban areas that makes rural development secondary. We would like to see greater integration between regional as well as agricultural development policy sectors rather than seeing them being dealt with in isolation.

The COTER members adopted the opinion on the involvement of LRAs in the operational programmes and debated the importance of enhancing the use of financial instruments to mobilize additional capital and deliver successful projects.
