​The CIVEX commission has debated on 25 October the proposal of the European Commission on the establishment of a European Public Prosecutor Office (EPPO), a controversial proposal which have raised some concerns among national parliaments thus triggering the yellow card procedure.

The opinion of the CIVEX commission, which overall support the establishment of such body, while highlighting the areas which require a revision to meet the subsidiary concerns will be slightly revised prior to the next Plenary session to take into account the new proposal of the European Commission.

Moreover, the CIVEX Commission held an exchange of views on the recently published Enlargement Strategy which covers the progress of the candidate and pre-candidate countries towards EU accession.

Mr Szwabski, the EA coordinator in the CIVEX commission and  co-chair of the JCC CoR - Montenegro praises the achievements of Montenegro and its remarkable  efforts in reforming the country to comply with EU acquis and standards.
