On 26 and 27 November, EA members Tadeusz Truskolaski, Marc Hendrickx and Miloslav Repaský gathered in Helsinki, Finland to attend the external seminar of the ECON commission and the annual SME Assembly. Members exchanged views on how to develop modern policies to promote entrepreneurship and SMEs while addressing challenges of industrial renewal and the EU agenda on sustainability.

During a session on EU policies in support of entrepreneurship and SME development, Tadeusz Truskolaski said: “We need to develop SME-friendly EU legislation by means of increased access to financing, less administrative burden & support measures for foreign expansion.  This will be necessary to further support our SMEs and allow startups to become scale-ups.”

Members also had the opportunity to visit the Espoo Innovation Garden where they learned more about how Aalto university is stimulating, promoting and investing in innovation and entrepreneurship.
