The newly elected President said: "As a group, we always wish to ensure cooperation for bringing a broad, competent and coherent contribution to the policies of the European Union. We are all aware of the need to deal with the policy of the European Union - in solidarity with citizens - to adapt to the current challenges of peace, political, economic and environmental issues. I believe in a policy of agreement and an open minded approach to the views of individual members. I recognize the importance of all countries, regions and local authorities in Europe. We will continue our efforts in building a strong, sustainable economic recovery. In the coming years the EA Group will continue its work on boosting the economy with long/short-term investments at a local and regional level."
