The EA Group congratulates its President for his award for services to local government. Mr Stanisław Szwabski, President of the EA Group in the Committee of the Regions and Councilor of Gdynia was awarded the Order of Honour for services to local government.
The Order was received from the hands of the Minister of Administration and Digitization of Poland, Mr Andrzej Halicki. The ceremony took place on 3 September 2015 at the National Maritime Museum in Gdansk. Mr Szwabski has worked for Gdynia local government since 1990 and ever since the first democratic local elections he has been a councillor of the City of Gdynia.
In the years 1990 - 1994 he was a member of the City Council responsible for the development strategy of Gdynia. After the elections in 1998, he was Chairman of the Council. Since 1998 he is the representative of Gdynia Association of Polish Cities, and since 2006 he has been a member of the board of this association (ZMP). Since 2006 he has been a member of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.
