Truskolaski in ECON: Interoperability is increasingly important, yet neglected

The 17th ECON commission meeting took place on 19 April 2023. Members adopted the opinion on the Interoperable Europe Act. EA members had the opportunity to join debates on topics such as the Critical Raw Materials and Net-Zero Industry Act, as well as a new tool to measure the digital maturity of cities, municipalities, and regions, LORDIMAS.

Tadeusz Truskolaski, the EA group's coordinator for ECON, voiced his positive stance on the Interoperable Europe Act, noting that the Commission's proposal is "balanced, built on a bottom-up approach, and takes local and regional input into consideration." He also concurred with the CoR opinion's argument that a firmer approach to interoperability is still required, along with continued financial support.
