EA member, Mr Rhodri Glyn Thomas, while addressing the Plenary session of the CoR said the strong CAP must remain in the future which will ensure sustainable growth of jobs, quality food production as a standard. The main objective of Europe is greater productivity of quality foods.. Direct support for strong CAP is seen as the big strategic challenge. A strong policy is needed because of concerns about food security, to ensure good land management and to face up to the problem of climate change. From the food production perspective, agriculture is the most important industry in the EU creating millions of jobs across the Union.
