The COTER members discussed on 2 July topical issues which would bring about important changes in EU policies aimed at achieving the objective of territorial cohesion.   
Following the presentation of the incoming Cyprus Presidency about the future priorities and challenges ahead, notably the hot discussion on the MFF and the future cohesion policy, EA COTER coordinator welcomed the priorities  but called for a clear strategy for growth initiatives in the current economic climate.  Later in the meeting EA  member and Chairman of the municipality of Gdynia Mr Szwabski, led a round tables on the code of conduct of partnership.
COTER also adopted the opinion of Mr Wozniak on the Common Strategic Framework which aims at translating the Europe 2020 strategy objectives into concrete measures while ensuring coordination between the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF), the Cohesion Fund (CF), the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
