During the last plenary session Mr Jerzy Zająkała, European Alliance President has responded to the statement of Mr Šefčović, Vice-President of the EC concerning the EC work programme for 2012. The EA President insisted that the key challenge for the EU is now to re-establish public trust in its capacity to secure financial stability and renewed economic growth, as well as giving priority to democratically legitimate political decision-making relating to the negative influence of the financial market. He also has drawn the attention of the EC Vice-President to the necessity to adequately reflect a rural development dimension in the programming of the cohesion policy with the appropriate link with the CAP.
