At the Natural Resources Commission Mr Adam Banaszak (PL/EA) opinion on Blue growth: opportunities for marine and maritime sustainable growth was discussed and adopted by a majority. It was one of a number of key subjects discussed at the commission meeting, the others being Green Paper on Marine knowledge 2020: from seabed mapping to ocean forecasting and also a round table on the on-going discussion on the legislative package on the CAP.
Mr Banaszak was delighted with members response on his Blue Growth opinion and this will go to Plenary in January 2013.
He also reiterated the need for a strong Common Agriculture Policy to be part of the next MFF and that local and regional authorities views needs to be taken into consideration when the final CAP is being agreed.
