During the CoR plenary session on 18 July, Mr Krochmal, Councillor of Wolów City, while addressing Mr Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank pointed out that the EIB should take advantage of its activity through the support for the SME's and Micro Enterprises.

There needs to be more focus on people starting new business, with particular emphasis/attention on graduates and young people, for some of whom the only way to enter the labour market is to start their own business. "If the EIB does not take action in this regard a whole generation in crisis - could be excluded" Mr Krochmal said to the President of EIB. He further added the EIB should support activities that increase the competitiveness of European economy as well as adapting its financial support towards the smaller local governments and for the Public Private Partnerships.
