​​​​The work of the EA Group is administered by the Bureau. The Bureau prepares all political, organisational and financial decisions and sees to it that they are implemented. The Bureau also prepares group meetings, studies matters submitted to it by the group for a decision or for its prior consideration, and draws up proposals which are then submitted to the group.

The term of office of the Bureau is two and a half years.
