On 3 March the ENVE commission debated future priorities with the European Commission and the European Parliament in the presence of Commissioner Vella and the ENVI committee Chair, Mr La Via.
The EA coordinator in the ENVE commission, Mr Andrew Cooper, questioned the European Commission's ambition concerning the future circular economy proposal and waste targets and asked for more details on the upcoming initiatives to accelerate the transition to a greener economy.
During the meeting the ENVE commission unanimously adopted an opinion on protecting the marine environment.
