​In an external meeting of the NAT commission, held in Pylos, Greece on 24 and 25 May, members focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and diets. Acting European Alliance coordinator, Mr Dariusz Wróbel said that in a fast-paced world it is very important that we introduce the concept of healthy eating and active lifestyle at a very early age. This will also encourage the promotion of local and seasonal products which can contribute to the healthy diets.

The meeting also saw the appointment of European Alliance member Mr Miloslav Repaský as rapporteur on the Proposal for a Regulation on the transparency and sustainability of the EU risk assessment in the food chain. Mr Repaský's opinion will be discussed at the next NAT commission meeting in October in Brussels.
